This blog post is all about ways to achieve your goals!
The new year is upon us, which brings excitement to set goals for some and pressure for others. Whether you are blogging to make money, get known for your niche, or other reasons, goal setting is an important step!
In this post, I'm dropping 5 ways to achieve your goals with real-life examples!
ACHIEVE YOUR GOALS WITH EXAMPLES
What Are Goals
Goals are steps, also known as actions, that you take toward a particular task that you want to achieve. They keep you motivated, focused, and disciplined and give a sense of purpose as to why you're working so hard blogging!
Types of Goals
There are two types of goals that we are going to discuss: long-term and short-term goals. Long-term goals are exactly what they sound like, goals that will take a long time to achieve. Short-term goals take a shorter amount of time to achieve or are small actions toward your bigger goal.
Goal Setting
I love to brain-dump all of the things. Literally, I take out a notepad and pencil and start writing things I want to accomplish for my blog. Dream big and small! Go ahead, take 5 minutes to do that now, I'll wait.
Ok, now that you have written your goals down, let's get to planning!
How To Achieve Goals
I'm almost 100% certain that we all write blog posts with the hopes and dreams that someone out there will read them, right? I'm going to break down a long-term goal of 650,000 page views. This type of goal means that you are striving for readers!
Stick with me on this part! Take 650,000 divided by 12 (months in 2025), that is 54,617 page views needed a month. Now take that and break it down further 54,617 divided by 52 (weeks in a year), that is 1,042 page views a week. Now break it down even further 1,042 divided by 7 (days in a week), which averages to 149 daily page views! Doesn't that goal seem way more manageable?
What do you need to do in order to get those page views:
- Create email list.
- Send weekly emails with free opt-ins that are relevant to your audience.
- Send your email subscribers back to your blog, new blog post.
- Social Media Marketing! Pin, pin, pin, pin and of course optimize SEO.
- Put TikTok or YouTube videos into your blog posts.
- Create pins for Pinterest that directly link them to your email list.
- Track your data.
- Write blog posts within your niche that are most relevant at the right time. Read more on blog niche Blog Categories List By Niche.
Celebrate All Wins
Every win is a win, no matter the size, celebrate it! Celebrate that you met your goal post goal even if you didn't have readers that week. Celebrate getting Pinterest views even if it didn't result in blog page views. Celebrate no matter what!
